Catarina Silva

PRESIDENT

Catarina Silva is the current president of Women in Business! She is from Danbury, CT, pursuing a double major in Marketing (concentrating in Digital Marketing and Analytics) and Psychology. She is the former Vice President of Marking of Women in Business, and was a marketing intern at Xtreme Play during the Summer of 2021. Currently, Catarina is the campus brand manager for HBO Max! On campus, she is involved in HuskyTHON, UCTV, Husky Ambassadors, and a spin instructor at UCONN REC. During her free time, she enjoys exercising, spinning, traveling, reading, watching reality TV, drawing, and anything to do with fashion!

LUCY GILSON

Professor Gilson is the Associate Dean for Faculty & Outreach and serves as the Faculty Director for the Geno Auriemma UConn Leadership Conference, the faculty advisor to the UConn women’s MBA association, a visiting Scholar at Universidade Catolica Portuguesa (Lisbon), and the Senior Associate Editor of Group and Organization Management. In 2019 she was names by the Web of Science Group as one of the world’s most highly-cited researchers.
